</p><p>I am directed by Brig. Gen. L. A. Gillman, Comg this District, to state that your communication of Feb 6th. inst. in regard to Wm. B. Rea now in Hospital at this place, was received this day and immediately referred to the Medical Director, who has placed the following endorsement thereon.
</p><p>Wm. B. Rea will be presented to the examining board tomorrow afternoon for discharge "from service."

</p><p>I would be glad to hear this evening by mail the final result of your deliberations upon the state of the country
</p><p>The union men here are much alarmed and I am ashamed to say so much depressed that they cannot be relied on for any bold movement
</p><p>These facts are so discolored by their fears that there is no reliance upon them
</p><p>I am still of opinion that the only mode of reassuring our People is a military force to be placed in Springfield
</p><p>Verry respectfully
