Images in this collection document the aftermath of the 1937 Ohio River flood. The flood, caused by high rain levels in January and February, devastated several southern Illinois cities including Shawneetown, Cairo, and Harrisburg. Images in this collection include Works Progress Administration director Harry Hopkins's visit to the flooded areas.
