Lincoln Portrait and Gettysburg Address in One Continuous Line
Abraham Lincoln
Gettysburg Address
Art
The print features a unique take on a portrait of Abraham Lincoln based off a Alexander Gardner taken in November 8, 1863. This print features handwritten text of the Gettysburg Address all "formed in one continuous line from center to circumference." Abraham Lincoln's face is formed by using both light and dark shading with the starting point of the line beginning on Lincoln's nose. After completing the portrait the artist continued the line without lifting his pen to write out the text of the Gettysburg Address.
