Dear Sir,

Allow me to call your attention to the many and cheap accommodations In the City of Decatur In the 7th Congressional District for creating it the Headquarters of the Regiment form the 7th District we have a population of 5000.

Abundant supplies of Every variety for an Encampment and for the accommodation of soldiers. One Mile from the city we have a Large fair ground and an abundant supply of water without hauling it. Every article of food & provisions In large abundance and cheap Hotel accommodations for Everybody. Large Whole sale provision & grain & Hay stores & warehouses. A Large branch stream runs through the City and the River is less than a Mile from Station Rail Road for ready transportation South North and to the Capital. and a patriotic People.
