Sir: It is represented to this Department that Co. H. of the Engineer Regiment at Sedalia, is composed of Illinoisans that said regiment is not yet organized, and said company incomplete, having but 53 men.

In view of the facts, and the earnest wishes of the members of said Co. I respectfully request, if consistent with your view of public duty, that it be ordered to report to these Head Quarters, for the purpose of being fitted up, attached to some Illinois regiment.
