I would respectfully request that you ask the Gov. to write an approval of this in a letter directed to the Secretary of War. We propose Sending it direct to Mr Lincoln by a Gentleman who will be in Washington & see that the President gets it or it may be best for the Governor to address his letter to the Prest.
