To his excelency Gov Yates Sir I have waited for some time for an answer from you concerning the discharge of my son in the 101 Reg and if you have not got any inteligence from the war department concerning his discharge I want you to write to him the sec of war again I am left with 4 little children and a renter and at this time without any place to go too and it seems as I cannot get any and without him I do not see how I shall get along without him if this meets with your approbation give it your influence if you please and you will oblige
