This day came Elizabeth Moulton who first having duly sworn in her oath deposeth and says that she is the mother of Loren Moulton now a private in company not positively known to this affiant but in Regiment Number Sixty-fourth Yeats Sharp Shooter Ills volunteers and the affiant further says that her son Loren is now only aged 17 years he being born on the 19th day of February in the year AD 1847 and that her son Loren did enlist into the services of the United States with and the knowledge or consent of said affiant and that she did not know of his whereabouts until she heard of his enlisting and gone to Springfiel Ills and said affiant further says that she verily believes that her son Loren was persuaded by some person to enlist as her son Loren had always lived at home with her and never had heard him say that he was then going to enlist or intended to do so and the deponant further says that her son Loren is so young his health so poor and that his strength will not be sufficient to perform the duties necessary devolving upon him as a Soldier She therefore asks and prays that her son may be discharged from said services.
