Honored Sir, There appear to be conciderable many in this County, that fear marauding parties rising in Missouri and molesting our Citizens (I know of no such near, but think it well enough to be prepared for the worst) If we should form a home guard, could we get arms from the Government, what would be our duty, what number necessary, & how Officered, If Your Honor could take time and feel disposed to favor me with an answer You will confer a lasting obligation on
