The above applicant, Re. Mr Harris, a minister of the Gospel, we can most cheerfully recommend as a suitable person for a Chaplaincy in the Army of the U.S.A. __His Patriotism is ardent, incessant, with an increasing attachment to the Laws & Constitution of our beloved Country, and believe as we do, that our Independence must be maintained against Treason and armed Rebellion-___With his energy, ready eloquence, and devotion at Piety, we fell confident that this services in the Army would prove a blessing to all those within his influence.
