To His Excellency.

Richard Yates.

Governor of Ill.

Sir:

I have had the honor to receive your communication of this date in relation to the removal of the Command of Capt Hill (V.R.C) from Paris, Edgar Co. Ill. And as requested I will order the troops to remain until you can present the matter to Genl Heintzelman, on at Washington.
