The bearer of this Mr Israel S. Diehl, desires to visit Nashville Tenn. to see after a cousin, who is in the 86th Regt. Ill Infantry and who was wounded at the Battle of Kenesaw Mountain.

Mr Deihl is a loyal man, and an honorable gentleman,.

I have known the Father of the young solider, for many years, he is one of our best and worthiest citizens, behind none in loyalty & patriotism. Any thing you can do to further the object of his journey, will confer a favor upon Your Friend
