Sir: I herewith forward petition from worthy and loyal citizens of Fulton Co Illinois, for release, under proper instructions and obligations, of George H. Jones a Prisoner of War now held by the Government at Rock Island Illinois and said to have been conscripted into rebel service as a member of 30th Regt Mississippi Infantry - against his will and principles -- and slated as a former resident of Fulton Co Illinois.

I would respectfully request consideration of the petition and as favorable action as the Government has found practicable to give such cases. I believe the case meritorious & worth favorable consideration.
