Dear Sir I wish to ask of you whether I can reenlist in the State Militia for five years as I have Been in the service two years the 18th of July Last and if I can reenlist in the State troops I will enlist for five years the reason that I wish to Do that is this my father and Brother is in the 29th Iowa and my mother is Left at home with no one to take
care of her and if I could get in the state troops I could see to her and Do my Duty Also if you will let me know whether I can reinlist in the Militia or not And oblige your obedient Servant
