will your excelence excuse me for writing to you but I kno not who els to direct my letter to, I am in great trouble about my dear brother William H. Fox 12 Brig Co B Ill vol Infantry he was I think nurse in the hospitle 12 after the battle of Pitsburgh till four months ago. he had not reinlisted at that time we have not herd from him since. his time is out the first of this month I am afraid he is dead---will
you be so kind as to let me kno wheare he is or tell me who to write to
respectfuly yours
