The bearer here George Hamelton visits you for the purpose of securing the discharge of John A. Vanschonch private in Co A 94th Reg Ill Vol. who is now confined in your hospital, and I am informed the prospect of his recovery is doubtful. Please assist him in obtaining the discharge, if consistent with the interests of the service.
