Sir:

     I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication in relation to George P. Brown, Co. "K" 39th: Ill. Vols., and to state that he is at present a patient in this Hospital suffering from a Gun Shot wound (flesh) of the left leg, and is doing well, but is still unable to bear the removal desired.
