Dear Sir

It is the request and desire of our Monroe drafted men and substitutes, now in camp at Camp Butler, to enter the 43rd Regt. Ill. Vols. (Koerner Regt.) now stationed at Little Rock, Arkansas.

I wish you would use your influence in this case & the Union men here, as well as the drafted men, will be under obligations to you.
