                     Dear Sir

                            I would most respectfuly ask that I be Examined to get a commission in a collored Regt.  I am in the hospital at Camp Butler I was wounded on the first day of Sept at Jonesborrough Ga

I think I am qualified for som position and would like very much to have one in a collored Regt. My Regt is with Sherman Now. If you can do any thing for me I will be very much obliged.
