1. Sing we to - day of one who lives in mem - 'ry, honored, re-vered, and loved by one and all; Heart, soul and mind, he gave to our great na - tion, On - ly at last by trait-or's hand to fall.

2. Sing to - day of him whose care-ful guid - ing Brought I - to port our own loved Ship of State; Storm-clouds of war were threat'ning to o'er-take her, Safe - ly he Steered her thro' the har - bor gate.
