WIMMERSTEDT'S INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FLUTE AND PICCOLO

The above is the title of a new instruction book for the Flute and Piccolo, by the celebrated author and teacher, A.E. Winnerstedt, who is eminently qualified to write for the above named instruments, having been a practical performer and teacher on the same for past twenty years in Europe, and now a resident of this country. Those wishing to learn to play the Flute or Piccolo, will not fail to find in this book just what they need. Every example is plainly written, illustrated and explained, so that they can be understood without the aid of a teacher. The music is mostly new and consists of the choicest melodies, Polkas, Schottisches, Marches, Quicksteps, Waltzes, Cotillions, etc. (Price 75 cents.)

WINNERSTEDT'S INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE VIOLIN.

The Violin is one of the richest and (when well played, perhaps,) most beautiful instruments in the world. For expressing and portraying the different emotions of the mind it has no equal; in fact, it is generally conceded to be the king of instruments; but it is a difficult task to become a thorough performer on the Violin. Those wishing to learn to play well, must be careful in selecting their instruction books, or else they may find themselves forever debarred by forming bad habits. Many of the books published in this country are gotten up by those having but a partial knowledge of the Violin, and do not know how to direct the learner aright. Prof. A.E. Wimmerstedt has been a practical performer on this instrument for many years, receiving his instructions from the best European masters and is fully qualified to direct and instruct. This book is filled with the best melodies, and is equal to any yet published.

Either of the above will be sent to any address in the United States upon the receipt of 75 cents. A liberal discount will be made when ordered by the dozen.

All orders must be addressed to H.M. Higgins, 117 Randolph St., Chicago, Ill.
