Sir:

We, the undersigned members of Illinois organizations, having been placed on detached service in the Marine Brigade, on the 1st day of Jan. 1863, have the honor to represent: 1st That said organization has ceased to exist. 2d That the term of enlistment in the organizations from which we were detached, has expired

We desire an order from you to report to the Hd Qrs. of our State to be mustered our of the Service, in order that we can reenlist in defence of our glorious old flag, as representatives of the gallant Sucker State.
