To His Excellency
Gov Richd Yates,
Dear Sir
I enclose you a certificate of Dr McFarland stating that Mrs Cameron is an inmate of the Insane Assylum of this state. Mr. John Cameron is a member of Co "H" 28th Ills Vols and has five children at home with no one to look after them, since he enlisted his wife became insane, thus leaving his children without the protection of Father or Mother. if you can do anything that will enable him to get a discharge that he may care for his little ones I think you ought to make the effort. Will you please make the necessary application
