         Sir  Your very kind letter I found on my table this P M on arriving home for which I am thankful & grateful.  As I came by Centralia & Du Quoin I found that both places had Extensively advertised Genl Logon & Genl Oglesby for the 12th (visit?) & neither would give up - So that both meetings will go on.  I suggested that one of them might go to each - & that I would attend with one & you might be induced to attend with the other - this would satisfy them, they will have large meetings at both - can you come if so take your choice of places - & of Generals - I am content with Either
