Dear Sir: I send you with this a copy of the "Cass County Union." That paper is doing much by such editorials as the one marked to hinder the enlistment in this and Cass Counties. Its constant endeavor is to prejudice the cause of Liberty.
Can you not procure its suppression? For God's sake let us not tolerate such accursed stuff any longer. I would not trouble you but this is very important. Rebels in that county grow bolder every day
