Governor

Enclosed you will please find a small photograph which you will please present to Mrs. Yates, with the Governors compliments

I mailed you a report of the expenditures of the Governors Contingent Fund yesterday

A resolution of enquiry into the expediency of establishing a "Military Board" was introduced into the House to day. It will amount to nothing. Our legislature has done comparatively little thus far and are now discussing a proposition to visit the Kentucky Legis

lature - without having had an invitation, expecting to meet your democrats there, and "consult." We are not making any serious opposition, and hope they will finally go. as they now seem disposed to do. They will succeed in making themselves ever more abnoxious to the loyal people, and arouse them to an appreciation of their distinguished services

I have the honor to be

Very Respectfully

Yr. Obt Servt
