The friends of Col B B Wentworth are desirous of having him accept an appointment to one of the Field Offices in one of the Infantry Reg; without solicitation I assume to recommend him to you he will make an efficient Officer, and I am pleased to hear he will accept if an appointment is tendered. I assure you that he will be of benefit to the service and you will not regret tendering him any of the Field Offices. I trust you will remember him
