I have made application to our Military State Agent at this post relative to my family drawing my pay during my penal servitude here, which will be until next April. a year this application has paid no attention. And have now only to approach a higer and nobler source. Which I hope to find in you. My family need my scanty wages. having no other source from which they may derive the means of support. My family lives in Marion Williamson County Ill - they are six in number. By giving this your attention you will receive their prayers and that of Your Most Obdt. Servt
