Most Hon Sir I have just recd your letter in regard to a position as Clerk in some of the Departments at Washington for Ben H. Benson a disabled soldier. for the notice you have already taken please accept my things & anything you may do to secure position for him will be highly pleasing to your many friends in McHenry County He is a good Boy - made a good soldier and is highly respected.
