Dear Sir

I wrote you about Capt Noble I hope you will do what you can for him - I telegraphed you for a letter for him to take to Washington - I hope you have forwarded it to him -- I am very anxious that you [illegible] secure him the appointment as it will secure to you many political friends in this and the adjoining counties - I shall start tomorrow for Little Rock Ark where I shall probably remain during the summer & [illegible] until next Spring - Should you want any information from


from there I will at [every?] time give it to you - I can at any time post you about matters & things there - A young man by the name of Stoddard from [illegible] [illegible] & who was with Lincoln is U.S. Marshal. I expect much from you in the U.S. Senate - My Dear friend take good care of yourself & [occupy?] as you are capable of doing a high position among the nations great men - Your true position is not [second?]
