Herewith is a

list of names of sound minor men, altho rather

imperfect, it is the best we can do here at

this time. I can hereafter, either before, or

after you get to Washington, send you an

additional list. I will do so because I am

sure there are some good, active, influential

men whom I cannot now get the names of, who

should not be overlooked. I am indebted

to the kindness of M. L. Barrett, J. Overholt

and Ruben Wilkinson, for their assistance

in making this list.

As I have already stated to you, I am not

sufficiently acquainted in the West & North

of our County to furnish lists from there.

But if necessary I can soon make the necessary

acquaintance and send you lists, but it would

not be in time for your present purpose.
