Sir,

At a Session of the Sanitary Commission, held on Thursday Sept. 12th 1861, it was Resolved: "That the Sanitary Commission urge the adoption on the part of the several State Legislatures, of a Uniform System of Medical Examination for Military Service."

"And that a Copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Governors of the several Loyal States."
