The Bearer, Mr I. Haas, is an old friend of mine, to whom I am under sundry obligations, and whom I desire to serve by recommending him to you for an appointment to a Sutlership &c.

Mr Haas is a very reliable, trustworthy man, who is perfectly able to meet all engagements he enters into and I would esteem it a particular favor if you could assist him, to obtain some appointment, contract &c
