Gov. Yates

Dear Sir

I enclose herewith a letter in my behalf -

If you have a place at your disposal where I can make myself usefull I will gladly accept it.

I however claim nothing in consideration of the fact, mentioned by my friends, of having several boys in the army. They are simply doing their duty, & I mine by throwing no obstacles in their way -

Neither do I claim any thing for my "grey hairs" - They are not grey enough to hurt me -

Your commands will reach me here for a few days, after that at Sterling

Respectfully

R. P. Robinson
