Dear brother

it is with pleasure that I take my pen in hand to inform you that we are all well hoping those few lines may find you all well I but little news to write you helth is good crops is good times pretty good I have 70 acres of good corn if the Season Continues good now Ed I want you and T. C. D. to show there hands and see if they are the color of Alfreds and Williams they are Abolitionist Sure I send in Closed Some Strips of news papers to read and peruse I would Send you Some whole papers, but they stop them


do not believe the abolition lyes you hear a bout the democrats they are the Same the have always been except they believe this abolition War might have been Settled at the begining, and history will prove this and you cannot find a disunion in the north except the abolitionist they are in favor of acknowledging the Separate Confedaracy. if you was here you will find that you have been blind folded long enough write by return of mail give me a full detail and I will send you more in return
