Honorable Sir.

I take present opportunity of writing to you the circumstances which has happened since my husband return home from the army on a furlow of 30 day; When he first came home; he was very kink to me. But by persusuion of his folks we think so; by circumstances that which sins happened, and by their own talk; They commenced their scandilizing talk to him about me; saying they could not bemean me enough; his father telling him to get a bill from me, and take my darling children from my bosom. My little daughter which is almost twelve year old. She listened to this cruel talk, till it

seemed that her heart would brake in pieces at the thoughts of being torn from her dear mother. With bitter anguish she came to me; to relate her sad story; she was so overcome with grief mingled with fear; All she could say was placing her delicate arms around my neck; eyes filled with tears; and with great emotion that would melt a mountain of stone; saying mother would to God; that I had died before I had seen such troubles as this. I want God to kill me: O!Mother I want to die! Mother I want to tell you; but I cant; I am afraid too. with such expressions ringing her with bitter anguish at the same time; After Mrs Weeds and my own persuasion to

relate the sad story to us. Trying to choke down her tears; She said: those cruel folks are setting Pa! against you telling him storys on you; and making all sorts of fun of you; and saying nothing was to bad for you; and grandpas telling him to get bill from you telling him he he was a fool for ever living with you again, saying he would help him if he would do so and urging him on; My feeling better imaging than described. What monster of the deep ; would come to crush down the inocent; and crush a helpless woman, not only my children torn from my bosom; but turned out helpless into the world without a red cent; saying I never should see my darling children again while innocence dwells in my

bosom I have lived here five years; Individuals of good standing in this place will test this scene; and my innocence by signing their name to this Say farther that my husband had nothing when I married him he got a handsome fortune and money with me; I feel it very hard to be treated so harshly without mercy shown, If you could lend me a helping hand to assist me in getting my children and drawing some of his money for my support. I have worked very hard and done more for my children then he has; this my neighbors will certify too; if you can do nothing more than to write a good feeling letter to him it may influence him to sence or feeling. Please answer this if
