Unanimously resolved, That this meeting expresses its profound horror and detestation of the assassination of President Lincoln, and the murderous attack upon Mr. Seward. That it believes the death of the President at this great crisis of American history is an unspeakable loss to the people of America, and at the same time to the people of England and to humanity at large. That this meeting desires to convey to Mrs. Lincoln, and to the United States government and people, its deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolence.
