I will feel particularly obliged if you will cause Robert W McClelland of Co J. 7th Regt Ills. Vols now confined in Ward O of Sept Barracks Hospital, to be examined for discharge - and if Consistent please have him discharged soon - If he should not be discharged please give him furlough to come to this City - his home - for the benefit of his health. Please indorse state of this case hereon & return this.
