Dear Govenor

The future looks bright for the cause in this locality. but We have heavy work ahead to carry the 4th Congressional Dist. but prospects now look fair. The Copperhead mass meeting of the 1st inst at this place was a failure on their part, and they are feeling very Sober over it. We are going to have a success if possible here on the 13th and are happy to know that you will be with us on that occation. We learn that Genl Logan will be with you at your city on the 5th inst. Will you please try to have him accompany you through this Dist as

he could work well among the Douglas Democrats - and we must have Some heavy work done in order to Elect Harding. Please try to have Genl here is possible.

Your matter is all right in Our Dists (viz - 21st Senatorial & 47th Rep) Webster & Lloyd are both pledged to go for you

If Genl Logan can come please let me know

I am Governor

With Much Respect, Your Obdt Servt
