Dear Governor

The resolutions which I showed you have passed both Houses unanimously. When will you start for Washington. I think some of going home and starting from there on Monday evening next and going right through though I may start from here without going home. I should

delight much to be of your company. I wish you would drop me a line here and at Quincy when you will leave. I will get one or the other of them.

I regretted much I could not be at your reception. Hope you had a good time

God bless you

Your friend
