I learn (not officially) that Judge Fuller is appointed Adjt Gen'l - I.S. Mather, Esq. having resigned. Should this be the case, will you see Gen'l Fuller relative to giving me time in raising my regiment, otherwise I fear he may take my companies to fill up other Regiments, as in the case of Col Adams - I have portions of three Companies in camp, another goes in today - I go today to Bridgeport, to secure a German Company of 60 men. Have seen the Capt who agrees to go with me to Camp next week - Col Niles is after them, so I will loose no time in getting them to Camp. I have a company being raised in Bond County, also in Fayette County - Bishop is to bring in three companies - one of which goes to camp this week.
