Hon Richard Yates,

Dr. Sir,

Capt, A. D. Taylor left here this morning to Recruit for his Company in Birgess Region, of Sharp Shooters, in Southern Illinois. He Expects to recruit in Lawrence, Wabash, & Edwards Counties, & will have his men meet either in Vincenes Inda or in Bridgeport or Olney Ills. From the fact that the Rigament is a Missouri Regiment as a Citizen of Illinois who feels for the honor of the State I take the liberty to inform you of Taylors acts, He is the same man that was under arrest at Springfield, som 2 weeks since
