Hon. Richard Yates,
Governor of Illinois.
Dear Sir.
Your letter of the 28th inst. covering certain inquiries of the Governor of Minnesota, was received this morning.
In reply I am obliged to state that this institution is quite inadequate, in point of Capacity, to receive even the urgent applicants for admission from our own State, and it would be quite "impossible to Extend the privileges it provides to those of any
other.
