I am a privete in Co F 1st Bat Yates SS Ills Vol and I have recieved a letter from Kankakee County Ills requesting me to come and take a commission office in a company there and I think myself amply qualified for any company officer and can come out well recommended and therefore I would ask of you a permotion or a transfer or a furlough to go there long enough to find out what the prospect is for I think I would


be of more servis there then I am here at the presant time write to me and let me know what my chance will be for the seem ancious to have a man that has been drilled for to go at the head of the company and I have been in the servis nearly a year and I can go through all the tacticts in good order
