Permit me to introduce to your acquaintance and favorable consideration, the bearer, Dr. John McAllister of this city-- a gentleman of character and ability and a physician of high standing. Dr. M. I believes designs tendering his professional services to the Government, and I do not hesitate to say that the Regiment will a fortunate one that secures him.
