My Dear Sir

Some weeks ago I wrote you for some position where I might serve my State and enclosed therewith a small recommend signed by several citizens of Peoria. Having occasion to use that document soon I write to have it resent to my address. Would it be asking too much to recall that paper. It has ever seemed to me that I should have received some attention but I have so far been unable to find the secret of success
