I desire to introduce to you Lt Patterson late Adj of the 2nd Batt of my Regiment mustered out by a recent order. He is a young man of fine talents & one of the few I have met with who is competent to discharge properly the duties of Adj of a regiment. He would be an invaluable acquisition to any regiment. Cant you take care of him in some way?
