To his Excellency Hon Richard Yates
Dear sir
When the undersigned were at Springfield this day 2 weeks we made application for the discharge from the Army Henry Donk Co A 11th Illinois Cavalry. Who has been along time confined at Evansville Ind Convalescent Hospital, which you promised his discharge he has not arrived at home and his family think perhaps. It may have been overlooked. You have the petition on File Left by us.
