Sir = Since I have seen you I have canvassed this section of country & find that a cavalry co can be raised upon a much shorter notice than I spoke of when you was here. And if you can get them received, will have them ready mounted for active service, in 10 days time from notice. I wish to be received for the War to serve anywhere & in any capacity that I may be assigned.
