Permit me to introduce to you Col P.R. Kendall who served under Gen Lane in Kansas. And was mustered out when the difficulty arose between Gov Robinson & Lane.
I think Mr Kendall deserve consideration for services not only there, but for recruiting [illegible] since
I hope you will find it in your power to assist him to an active position in the Army
He is a thoroughly educated military man of great energy.
